Yip Chi-Ten is a Chinese singer of Minnance's origin. He was born on June 1, 1948, as Yip Hin-Sau (葉 憲 修) in Taibao, Republic of China (Taiwan). He has released more than fifty music albums and sung more than a thousand songs. He sings in Standard Mandarin and Taiwanese. He was one of the first popular singers to sing in Taiwan. As a result, he received the nickname "Zangkoning of the Precious Island" (寶島 歌王). He is, besides singer, also a politician of the Chinese party Guomindang.
In 1989 he appeared as an actor in the movie Aibincaihuiying (愛拚才會贏). He also sang the theme song of the film in Taiwan.
At the Presidential elections of China Republic 2008, he sang a song to recruit voters from Ma Ying-jeou.
