Alternative Trade (cooperative)

Alternative Trade is one of the main importing centers for Italy, of Fair Trade Products or Alternative Trade.

It is a cooperative that has been working in the field of Fair Trade (COMES) since 1992, importing and distributing, without intermediaries, food and handicrafts from the countries of the South of the World. >

It is the initiative of "Ferrara Third World", a voluntary association of Ferrara who has been working internationally since the seventies.

In 1987, FTM members made the first import of coffee in Ecuador, and some years later, along with eight other organizations, they founded Alternative Trade. Since then, the reality of Alternative Trade has grown and has activated a vast array of projects and relationships with the producers of the South of the world.

Alternative Trade is the founding partner of AGICES, IFAT member, partner and licensor of FAIRTRADE.

On May 24, 2012, the import control center, following the liquidation procedure, changes its name and becomes Baum Cooperative Society. Notemodify wikitesto Links externalize the wikitesto
