Conrad Klemm

Sammy Davis Sr. (Wilmington, December 12, 1900 - Beverly Hills, May 21, 1988) was a US dancer and actor, father of the most famous Sammy Davis Jr.

Sammy Davis Sr., as did his wife Elvera Sanchez, was a vaudeville dancer. When his son Sammy Davis Jr. was three years old, the couple split. Sammy Davis Sr., who did not want to lose the custody of his son, took him on tour with him, teaching him dance as a young man, along with Will Mastin, the leader of the company he was part of. Soon Sammy Davis Jr. joined them in the shows, and the three became the Will Mastin Trio.

Sammy Davis Sr. also participated in two films: Sweet and Low and The King of Jazz. Voices correlateemodify wikitesto Links externalize the wikitesto
