Eric Frank Russell (Sandhurst (Surrey), January 6, 1905 - Liverpool, February 28, 1978) was a British science fiction writer. He also used the pseudonyms Duncan H. Munro and Webster Craig for his short stories.
Russell wrote science fiction with a humorous touch, grabbing authority in all its forms.
He was born in a military family, with which he spent a portion of his youth in Egypt and Sudan. During the Second World War he served at the Royal Air Force. Before making his job, he was still an engineer for a short while.
He won the Hugo Award in 1955 for his short story "Allamagoosa". Bibliography
