Gaetano Dardanone


Gaetano Dardanone (Milan, January 16, 1688 - Milan, June 30, 1760) was an Italian painter.

Gaetano Dardanone was born in Milan in the parish of Sant'Andrea alla Pusterla by his father Ferdinand and his mother Angela Maria.

Defined as a "famous painter" by the seventeenth-century Milanese Servilian Latuada had a long period of oblivion throughout the nineteenth century and was only recently re-evaluated.

He was mainly active in the Duomo Factory and skilled in portrait art.

He died in Milan on June 30, 1760 in the parish of San Tomaso in Terramara.
