Galopwissel

An Arab who changes in the left

A gallop change or change is an exercise from the advanced dressage within the equestrian sport. Gallop exchanges belong to the natural repertoire of every horse.

A horse has two sides on which it can gallop; the left leg and the right leg. One can recognize the type of gallop in the pretense that it is the most common for a gallop jump. If a horse turns a turn to the right, he should do that in the right gallop. If he turns a turn to the left, he should do that in the left. This is consistent with the construction of the horse.

It is said that a horse is in the wrong gallop when he makes a turn to the right in the left gallop, or a left turn in the right. It is said that the horse is in the right gallop or in the right gallop if it gallops on the right side. The right gallop makes one horse easier than the other. Horses can also gallop over crossbreeding. The hind legs do a different gallop than the forelegs. This impure corridor is tiring for the horse and is seen as a mistake in the dressage.

The dressage rider can teach the horse to change, substitute, "substitute" a subtle command of gallop. When horse and rider are perfectly matched, it will be possible to make a series of fast gallop changes, for example, to match the two, on a straight track. A series of consecutive gallop exchanges on a straight track is a very difficult practice for the horse, often driven by advanced riders in the Z dressage and during high school.

Anky van Grunsven and other famous dressage riders use this sequence of movement in their kür. During the Olympic Games, it is a compulsory practice in music for music. Training

When changing the hand, the rider can make a transition from galloping to jogging, or galloping to step and then jumping into the other gallop. But the rider can also keep the horse in gallop and drop in the right gallop. To teach this horse, the rider needs a lot of patience. First, you start with a simple "single change", hitting the horse from the left to the right. The rider's attitude (attitude) indicates which side the horse should go: The right leg of the rider to the rear means left leg and the left leg to the rear means right rush. After that, the rider walks one step further by letting the horse gallop in the wrong gallop and from there make the gallop to the right gallop. This is the easiest for the horse.

Another method of learning the horse's gait is to drive in ever smaller eights until the horse changes its natural tendency of gallop. A "help" (clue) with the whip can be given by touching the right shoulder. It is very important that the horse has mastered the basic stress adequately because otherwise it will not understand and be confused. If the horse changes correctly, the rider must let him know that he did well. This happens by praising the horse after a few passes ('reward with the voice'). Also see
