Macintosh Quadra 700

Macintosh Quadra 700

The Apple Macintosh Quadra 700 was introduced (along with the Macintosh Quadra 900) in October 1991, as Apple's first computer using the Motorola 68040 processor, as well as the first to have built-in Ethernet networking capabilities.

The Quadra 700 had the same housing as the popular Macintosh IIci model, allowing users to easily upgrade to a more powerful computer. It will still be the only Macintosh model that could be upright in a tower configuration or placed horizontally in the traditional desktop setup.
