Pay Me My Money Down is a work song (Roud 21449) sung by the Black Sea port of Georgia Sea Islands.

It was collected by Lydia Parrish and published in 1942 in her book Slave Songs of the Georgia Sea Islands.

The text reads:

Known as Pay Me or Pay Me, You Owe Me, was sung by The Weavers in 1955 in their Carnegie Hall concert. It became popular thanks to the version sung by The Kingston Trio in 1958. Dan Zanes proposed a children's version played through a calipso in the Night Time album of 2002. Pay Me My Money Down was the first single and relative video sold by Bruce Springsteen in ' 2006 album We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions.
