SK Torhout is a Belgian football club from Torhout. The club is affiliated with the KBVB with stem number 9388 and has black and white as colors. SK Torhout plays in the provincial series. History

In the town of Torhout, two clubs were affiliated with the Belgian Football Association, KVK Torhout with tribal number 110 and KSK Torhout with number 822 in the 20th century. The clubs played in the 1970s and 80 different seasons in the national series until they joined 1992 in Torhout 1992 KM, which continued with KSK's number 822. The names of VK Torhout and SK Torhout disappeared like this.

In 2000, there was disagreement in the club and in 2001 a number of people founded a new club called New Sportkring Torhout 2001, which joined the KBVB with number 9388, thereby reviving the old club name. The old club colors also took black and white. The new club started in Fourth Provincial, the lowest level, and in its first season, managed to enforce promotion to Third Provincial. In 2002, the KBVB was granted permission to change the club name to SK Torhout, the name that had disappeared ten years earlier.

SK Torhout remained successful and graduated further to Second Provincial. In 2007, it even succeeded in pushing forward to First Provinciale, the highest provincial department. The stay was limited to a season, because in 2008 we drove back to the Second Provincial. In 2011, one again graduated to the highest provincial level under the guidance of trainer Eddy Makelberge.

In 2014, it was decided not to compete with a first team.
