Sovereign Stadium

The Sovereign Stadium (formerly called City Sports Stadium) is a football stadium in the Belgian city of Lommel. It is home to Lommel United, a football club that plays in the Belgian Second Class. The former club Lommel SK also played home matches until 2002.

In the 2015-2016 season the stadium was adjusted to the requirements of 1A. This because Belgian football was reformed. The 8 highest ranked teams compliant with license 1A were given priority to participate in the renewed system of professional football. Some of the pitches were replaced by seats.

For these adjustments, the stadium offered to 12,500 spectators; Of which 1,800 covered seats, 10,500 pitches, 433 outside seats and 178 inside seats.

After the adjustments there were a total of 5,000 seats and 3,000 pitches. 51° 14′ 22″ NB, 5° 18′ 26″ OL
