Stefan Lambrechts (Turnhout, July 12, 1977) is a Belgian writer. biography

He attended school at the Royal Atheneum in Malle, where he regularly classed his classmates with reading out self-written, often humorous short stories. In 2000 he married and settled in Mechelen. In 2008 he separated and moved to Antwerp, where he lives with his current girlfriend.

After his studies, he started working at the financial consulting firm Spaar Select. Following this bankruptcy bankruptcy, he became banker in Mechelen. At the end of 2007, he ended up in prison for three months after tampering with his former wife with client accounts. There he wrote his debut novel The hypocritical virgin who found Euro's. This novel, released in 2009 by Zookie, is a true story about how he was fully financed by his then Philippine wife in her native country. A year later, in limited edition, a few short stories were published as The Woman Who Had To Paint Her Nails. Now he works as a freelancer, copywriter and is working on a new, fictional novel.
