Assessment Care Center

The Center Indicative Counseling Care (CIZ) is a Dutch foundation which established on 1 January 2005 which AWBZ care was entitled to someone. Previously, this was done by indicative commissions and later by different Regional Indicators (RIOs). The CIZ had the monopoly in the area of AWBZ indication, i.e. only the CIZ could issue such an indication. An AWBZ indication gave the patient access to the indicated AWBZ care.

In addition to AWBZ indications, CIZ initially also provided social-medical advice, for example in the context of the WVG / Wmo. However, because it was no longer permitted for a government-designated body to engage in free-market activities, this position was terminated on 1 January 2011, under the name of "MOzaak".

The CIZ's counselors rated applications for AWBZ care. An indication could be issued for the following functions:

If an indication of "stay" was given, the indication was issued in the form of a "healthcare package": a fixed combination of function indications.

The CIZ indicated for the following client groups: Transitional law

As of January 1, 2016, the transitional rights have expired for most of the people who went from the AWBZ to other laws. For a small group of people, the transitional rights have been extended until the end of 2016. Also see Externe link
