Dirk Van de Put is a Belgian entrepreneur and one of several Belgians at the head of a major multinational, namely McCain Foods Limited. biography
Van Put took veterinary medicine at Ghent University, where he graduated in 1985. He later pursued a management education in Antwerp in 1987.
Van Put then worked with several food companies, including American soft drink manufacturer Coca-Cola in Puerto Rico and Brazil, the American candy manufacturer Mars and the French dairy Danone. Later he also joined the Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis.
In 2011, Van de Put is working at the Canadian fries company McCain, where he will be CEO.
At the beginning of August 2017, Van den Put announced that McCain was leaving to take up the position of CEO at Mondelēz International.
