Itur HaOz, Hebrew: עיטור העוז, English: Medal of Courage, is an Israeli military award.

This award was established in 1970 by a law adopted by the Knesset (the Israeli parliament) and may also be awarded for military action for 1970.

The medal is awarded for a heroic action at risk of own life while fulfilling a military mission.

In the 1970s, 220 received this award, the last time this award was awarded in 2005, for which this award has not been awarded for 23 years. In 2007 it was announced that six soldiers who fought in the 2nd Lebanon war will also receive this award. Two men have received this award twice. Appearance

The appearance of the medal was created by Dan Reisinger, with the conditions that the medal would consist of six crossing swords with an olive branch in the middle. There is nothing on the backside.

The medal is stuck to red ribbon, which symbolizes the blood and fire in the fight.
