The Slavic Frost Jaxa of Köpenick was the opponent of Albrecht de Beer in the establishment of the Mark Brandenburg in 1157. The legend about his flight to Albrecht is maintained through a monument in Schildhorn on the Havel.
The historical identity of Köpenick's Jaxa and the question of whether the prince of Köpenick (Jacza de Copnic) is the Jaxa who wrote as the opponent of Albrecht's history in the Schildhornsage is still unclear.
