Ovi is the brand name that Finnish Nokia uses for its Internet services.
Ovi is the Finnish word for door. Ovi services can be used with a Nokia mobile phone, a Nokia tablet, a computer (using Ovi suite) or via the Internet (ovi.com). Ovi has 5 major branches: Games, Maps, Media, Messaging and Music.
The Ovi Store is included with most Nokia devices for free. Via the store, the devices can be equipped with additional software such as games. Furthermore, devices that feature a GPS receiver are provided with the free Ovi Maps navigation software. Ovi Music is a service used to download music to the Nokia mobile phones. A well-known formula is the "comes with music" formula where unlimited music can be downloaded for a certain amount per month. From early 2012, Ovi Store will be named Nokia App Store.
