The Quartet no. 2 of Leoš Janáček, subtitled Intimate Letters, was composed in 1928 at the request of the Czech Quartet, as was the case for the first quartet.
The Intimate Letters title was given by the same composer to refer to his long friendship with Kamila Stösslová, a much younger married woman than Janáček. The quartet should therefore reflect and translate into music the nature of the spiritual relationship between the composer and Kamila, as revealed by the more than 700 letters that the two had exchanged.
In the Quartet purple takes on an almost predominant role, since this instrument in the intentions of the author was to represent Kamila.
The composition is essentially tonal, though not in the traditional sense. Refer to the wikitesto tag d by the "Velo Club Ciclistica Primavera Ciclistica" by patron Eugenio Bomboni. Or d'oromodifica wikitesto
