The Spot

The Spot was the debut album (a single) of guitarist Snakefinger at Ralph Records in 1978. Snakefinger was a friend of the Residents and also worked with the group. The Residents encouraged Snakefinger for their label. The group co-produced the single and played with the guitarist. The b-side, 'Smelly Tongues', was a cover of a song from the Residents of their first lp, 'Meet the Residents'. Ralph was so convinced of the hit force of the song, that of the single 35,000 copies were squeezed on transparent blue vinyl.
